Battlefield for instance does control the RGB lighting when taking damage but again, this is not 100% guaranteed.
On the other hand, it is positively tame compared to Cougar's cumbersome UIX System software used in keyboards like the Cougar Attack X3 RGB. Stabilizers rattle, just like any other keyboard I used up to this point, so it does not bother me too much. However, I found the GX Brown switches in our test unit to be a little too heavy for comfortable typing. The keycaps feel solid and don't wobble much, but are made of cheap ABS plastic and may get slippery over time due to the oil in your fingertips. The G513's wrist rest is detachable, and its build quality is much better due to the sturdy aluminum faceplate.While this board used to be available with Romer-G Tactile and Linear switches, it's now only available at most retailers with GX Blue, Red, and Brown switches. The HyperX Alloy FPS RGB is a better gaming keyboard than the Logitech G513, but the Logitech is more versatile and performs better for office use and mixed usage. There are some cable management options underneath the main deck, running through the plastic chassis, but I found these largely redundant considering the thick, unwieldy cable hardwired into the top, and the limited routing options provided.
The main difference is that the Razer's Linear Optical switches have a shorter pre-travel distance and much lower operating force than the Romer-G Tactile switches on our Logitech unit, making them feel more responsive.
The Razer BlackWidow Elite is a better gaming keyboard than the Logitech G513, mainly because the Razer lets you reassign or set a macro to any key, while the Logitech is limited to the function keys only. While the G513's feature list may have been enough to set it apart from its competition back in 2018, things aren't quite so simple these days. The Logitech Gaming Software can be used for managing all Logitech accessories, such as mice, keyboards, and headsets. Pay in 3 is a form of credit, may not be suitable for everyone and use may affect your credit score. However, this only works for a handful of games like League of Legends, Dota 2, CS:GO, Rocket League, Overwatch, … Other games might also take control of the RGB lighting but this is not guaranteed.
With this separate palmrest I can position it however I like and that position changes every single day. The HyperX has onboard memory to save your preferred settings, and all of its keys are macro-programmable.Unfortunately, the keycaps are made of cheap ABS plastic that will attract oil from your fingertips over time. Unfortunately, while you can set macros in the companion software, they're limited to the function keys, and there's no onboard memory to save your settings. If you're looking for a keyboard with flat tile keycaps and transparent switches designed to better showcase the RGB backlighting, check out ROCCAT Vulcan Pro. Regardless of whether you opt for the palpable-but-subtle bump of the Romer-G Tactile switches or the fluidity of the Romer-G Linear switches, the G513 Carbon's dimensions remain the same, at 5.
In the second section, Lighting Settings, you can select among four different lighting modes: Freestyle, Zones, Effects, and Your Effects. Convenient USB passthrough port makes it a snap to plug in your mouse, flash drive or phone for direct data transmission or charging. These are "Customize G-keys" (represented by a G key), "Lighting Settings" (a light bulb), "Game Mode Settings" (a key with a joystick on it), and "Input Analysis" (a heatmapped G key).I have known of Ducky as a keyboard brand, but 60% is completely unacceptable for me and completely customizable, already built keyboard was something I did not find at the time(and probably did not exist outside of enthusiast markets, especially full size). If you don't need that wrist rest and fancy a little more light in your life, we'd recommend checking out the HyperX Alloy Elite 2 instead. Personally, I never use these faceted key caps because I don’t use my keyboard solely for gaming but also for typing these reviews etc… but it is a nice addition for those hardcore gamers out there. On the G910 I noticed that GTA V used the function keys to show police lights during a pursuit but this was not via any special software installed. This is an excellent choice for gamers, as it has customizable RGB backlighting, a comfortable wrist rest, and the tactile switches on our unit offer a light and responsive gaming experience.
